There's been a lot of political discourse surrounding “LGBTQ+ rights,” and whether Trump's policies represent a broader effort to reshape LGBTQ+ rights in the United States. To better understand this debate, let's examine the major policies and common arguments.
The Two-Sex Executive Order One of the first major actions was an executive order directing the federal government to recognize only two sexes male and female in many federal policies. Supporters argue it protects biological reality. Critics argue that the policy removes federal recognition of transgender identities.
Transgender Participation in Women's Sports The Trump administration supported policies directing federal agencies to interpret Title IX in a way that limits transgender girls and women from participating in female school sports. Supporters argue these policies preserve fairness in women's athletics and protect opportunities for female athletes. Critics argue the policies exclude transgender students from participating in sports consistent with their gender identity and may contribute to discrimination.
Gender affirming care for minors Trump's administration sought to restrict federal support for certain gender-affirming medical treatments for minors and encouraged agencies to adopt policies consistent with that position. Supporters argue children should not undergo irreversible medical procedures before adulthood and that families deserve greater caution regarding these treatments. Faithful Insight
As we can see under President Trump, the federal government has reinstated several policies affecting transgender Americans. While these policies have generated significant political and legal debate, they also raise a deeper question: When politics and public opinion are stripped away, what does God actually say about LGBTQ+ relationships and identity and what should the faithful do with that truth?
In the first 5 books of Moses in the Bible, the Lord gave us civil laws, moral laws, dietary laws, and ceremonial laws, and these are the laws that govern us as a people and keep things going in a righteous direction. One of the civil laws was that people who are of the same sex can’t have sexual intercourse with one another. Leviticus 18:22 (KJV) “Thou shalt not lie with mankind, as with womankind: it is abomination”
An abomination is a thing, action, or person that causes extreme disgust.
Gods words are the standard. If God says something is wrong, and it shouldn’t be done, you listen. God created us.
Homosexuality is morally wrong because its counfusions; nothing can come from same-sex intercourse. Let's just use common sense; for example, the anal is not an intrance its an exit, and that's just fact. What we are dealing with here are people who are confused and burned in their lust.
Romans 1:25-27 (KJV)
Verse 25: Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.
Verse 26:For this cause God gave them up unto vile affections: for even their women did change the natural use into that which is against nature:
Verse 27:And likewise also the men, leaving the natural use of the woman, burned in their lust one toward another; men with men working that which is unseemly, and receiving in themselves that recompence of their error which was meet.
The other nations changed the truth of God into a lie; they served the creature rather than the Creator. We see that they worshiped idols and false images of God. Because of this, the Lord gave them over to vile affections. “Vile” refers to something extremely disgusting or awful. Then it tells us how they changed the natural order of things into something that is unnatural and morally wrong.
A recompense is something you receive in return; essentially, the “payback” in this case refers to the consequences of their actions. The consequences are the diseases they get because of there abominable acts.The diseases are their “payback.”
That feeling of being trapped in the wrong body is a sign that something is seriously wrong with that person. God does not make mistakes; you are who you are supposed to be. Homosexuality is a sin that no one should be committing.
There is nothing wrong with the policies that were put in place, and neither should you believe there is. Separating the policies from the policymaker is extremely important. When viewed from a biblical perspective, these policies are acceptable; if anything, they help address some of the confusion that is already circulating so rapidly among this new generation.
